Grand rising New Sardis Family!
Fifty-seven years ago today, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. was tragically murdered and martyred here in Memphis. The night before his untimely death, he delivered one of his most memorable sermons, famously known as "I've Been to the Mountain Top." Yet, before he reached the peak of the mountain, he shared invaluable wisdom on money management, collective economics, and financial wellness. Dr. King dedicated his life to uplifting Black People, not just spiritually but financially as well, and his vision was cut short far too soon.
As we look ahead to our 2025 NSBC Visionary Focus, we aim to honor Dr. King's legacy by emphasizing three key areas:
1. Economic Empowerment
2. Emotional Wellness
3. Exposure to Black History
We believe that by concentrating on these pillars, we can foster a stronger, more resilient community. Let's make this April a month of mobilization and manifestation! Join us as we unite to fight for freedom and strive for a brighter future. Every voice counts - together, we can envision and embrace victory!
There is power in the process, and
Together We Stand!
Sincerely,
Pastor Harrington
